House gutted by fire

Fire gutted a house in Pindan Avenue on Sunday morning totally destroying all Troy Barbagallo's possessions.

He had only owned the house since June this year.

Luckily the house and contents were insured.

Troy was out at Valentines Springs at the time and police are eager to speak to anyone who saw anyone near the house between 4pm on Saturday and 7.30am on Sunday, when the house began to burn.

Fire crews poured massive quantities of water onto the house but were unable to save the structure or its contents.

Police have doorknocked the area and believe there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the blaze.

Forensic experts and insurance evaluators have inspected the remains of the house.

Local identity John Smoker and mine technologist Gavin Stephens quickly checked the house for occupants as the flames erupted.
