A gift for youth

Kimberley Fine Diamonds has donated $2720 to the youth of Kununurra.

The money was raised at its recent no-expenses-spared Christmas get together.

Items such a helicopter-fishing trip with West Coast Eagles stars Ben Cousins and Michael Gardiner, football shirts signed by the pair, signed footballs and a painting by Jeannette Dyson were auctioned to raise the money.

Kimberley Fine Diamonds owner Frauke Bolten-Boshammer said she believed people had to support the youth of Kununurra.

Half of the money will go to providing more facilities at the skateboard facility in White Gum Park (perhaps a drinking fountain) and the other half to the Magpies Football Club.

Shire President Barbara Johnson praised Frauke's efforts and thanked her on behalf of the community.
