The Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee will be in Kununurra on Monday to hold hearings. The committee is currently inquiring into rural industry water use in Australia. The committee will hold a public hearing at the Country Club Hotel. |
It will hear evidence from local interest groups on issues of concern about future water use and water planning. The committee also plans to allow time at the end of the day's timetabled program for short statements from the floor by members of the public. It will hold its next hearing in Darwin on Tuesday. |
