Santa on high in Kununurra

Yes, it is that time of year again in the East Kimberley when the old man in the red suit pays a visit.

As children count down the days until his arrival with sacks of toys and goodies, we caught up with the merry old gentleman helping put up decorations at Davey Tyre and Battery in Kununurra.

Kununurra, Wyndham and Halls Creek have had the usual run up to Christmas with Carols by Candlelight and numerous functions and parties.

For those wanting a traditional Christmas dinner without the fuss this year, there are two places doing the catering - the Mercure Inn and BP 24-hour.

Response to the Christmas Lights Competition has been good and there are some spectacular displays on show for those who take the time for a drive around Kununurra at night.
