The weather scheduled itself perfectly for last Sunday's 3rd round of the Summer Cup. the rain settled in at about 10:30am as the morning group had finished its rounds, and stopped at about 1:30pm, as the afternoon group was preparing to go out. Winner on the day, with a great score of 22 points, was Alastair Brown, also getting nearest the pin on number 2 - so he really deserves his handicap break from 19 to 16 and that puts another four balls in his basket. |
Second was Richard Clegg, handicap break 9 to 7 plus closest to the pin on No 4 (3 balls) with Brad Adams (1 ball) coming in third with 19 points on a count back from Peter Riley and Eddie Schulze and a handicap break of 8 to 7. Encouragement award (or NAGA to some) was awarded to Tizi Bonora (1 ball) on a count back from Wes Daniel and Ed Tripolone. NTP on no 4 was Jenny Langley (1 ball). After 3 rounds, Alastair has scooted to a 10-point lead over Eddie Schulze, with Larry Dyson a further 4 points back. |
