Croc gets new home

Conservation and Land Management officers have trapped a 3.5-metre crocodile, believed to have been responsible for threatening behaviour near Fitzroy Crossing.

Although they are not 100 percent sure it is the right animal, they think it is.

Just to be on the safe side they have reset the trap at Williams Pool, near the mouth of the Fitzroy, south of Derby.

The male crocodile has been relocated to the Broome Crocodile Park.

The trap was set after fishermen reported the croc had been making runs at their boats at the popular fishing hole.
