The future of the Warmun basketball competition is looking rosy. The community's roadhouse and store have chipped in $4000 in sponsorship for the 2005 competition. |
Six men's and four women's teams will take part in next year's competition, playing each Tuesday and Thursday night. At the end of the season there will be finals and trophies for the winners. |
The Department of Sport and Recreation has supplied singlets, women's shorts, balls, time clocks and nets. Recreation supervisor Barry Farley congratulated the store and the roadhouse for reinvesting in the community. |
