Wyndham residents turned out at the weekend for their annual Carols By Candlelight. The event was held outside the Drop-In Centre. They were treated to beautiful balmy night with a refreshing breeze to keep them cool. About 100 adults and 50 children attended and enjoyed pre-carols entertainment by Gibbedom, along with family games, face painting and balloon craft. |
A sausage sizzle was also provided. The carol service was a mixture of traditional and Australian carols with Pastor Ted Birch giving a message. Entertainer Peter Brandy gave his testimony and shared in music during the carols. Each of the churches from Wyndham and Kununurra were represented. |
Organisers praised the community for its support. This Sunday there will be Carols by Candlelight in Kununurra at the Ord River Sports Club with family entertainment beginning at 4pm followed by carols at 6pm. |
