Fixed wing boys triumph

Kununurra Tri-Hards have held yet another successful Tri-Anything Games on November 30.

With six teams competing in the third games, they had people from all ages pouring into the Leisure Centre pool.

They hit the water about 6pm and the white water started with everything from tyre races to egg and spoon racing.

Past rivals Slingair and Heliwork were very competitive, as they have been at the past two Try-Anything Games.

These teams were also trying to out cheer each other.

There were seven different events involving teams of six people.

The winners were: Slingair Slugs 56 (came first in the 1st games); Seymour Crack 47 (came first in last games); Heliwork Heroes 38; Argyle Agates 37; Mum and Dads 36 and Postie Power 35.

Organisers said scores were close, but fun was had by all.

Kununurra Tri-Hards thanked all those who competed and helped on the night as it was the club’s main fundraising event for the year.

The club hopes to hold another challenge about March/April next year.

The Tri-Hards need more members as they are loosing members because of end of year transfers.

The club’s members are proud that it is very social, while giving them a way to keep fit.
