The final winner in the Kimberley Echo's Shop Local promotion was drawn at Just Framed Gallery in Banksia Street, Kununurra on Friday.

The winner was Mathew Cockin, whose winning receipt was from Travelworld.

Mathew has won a $250 shopping voucher, which can be spent at any of the participating businesses or at several of them.

The Kimberley Echo joined forces with 17 local businesses to mount the promotion.

It was the sixth annual Shop Local promotion mounted by the Echo and proved even more popular than in the past.

Mathew's win was the second of two $250 shopping sprees (donated by the Kimberley Echo) to be spent at the participating businesses.

Sales manager Georgia Meier said she was looking forward to an even bigger and better promotion for Christmas 2005.
