Motocross pros visit

Some of the action from last weekend.

The Ivanhoe Motorcross track was throbbing with the sound of motor cycles from peewees through to 450cc's at the weekend.
Glen Bell, winner of 11 National Championships and Yarrive Konsky, who also has his fair share of Supercross fame and owner of Full Throttle Sports in Melbourne held a two-day workshop for the 22 riders.
The Red Riders Program stands for 'Ride, Educate and Discover' and is designed to provide resources for youths in regard to off road motorcycling and racing.
The philosophy of the program covers things such as goal setting, mental skills, nutrition, healthy living, behavioural issues and awareness of drugs in sport.
Yarrive explained: "Our aim is to introduce youths to motorcycling and extreme sports, and encourage them to live a healthy and adventurous lifestyle that's clean and fun.
"We also emphasis the importance of maintaining a strong commitment to sport and to always live life to the extreme, whilst being safety conscious.
The school covered things such as safety, body weight, balance, understanding your bike and many other motorcycle skills.
Although the weather was extremely hot, the students (aged from four to adult) were encouraged and inspired by Glen and Yarrive through jumps, corners, stutters and even wheelies.
Yarrive and Glen, who didn't even know where Kununurra was until the weekend, said this school was the best they had ever held and they would definitely be back.
