Massive diamond donation

Managing director of Argyle Diamonds David Rose makes the
presentation to WA Museum board of trustees chairman Tim Ungar.

The Argyle Diamond Mine, in partnership with local Aboriginals, has gifted a parcel of distinctive diamonds to the WA Museum.
They say the diamonds will now be available for all Western Australians to enjoy.
There are more than 500 stones in the collection, which includes a range of different colours and cuts.
Managing director of Argyle Diamonds David Rose said: "The diamonds are a symbol both of WA's unique mineral heritage and of the strong partnership between Argyle and the traditional owners, which allows mining to take place at the Barramundi Gap."
At a special handover ceremony at the museum, guests, including several government ministers and prominent business people, gathered to acknowledge the donation.
