Work has begun on the third stage of the Lakeside subdivision in Kununurra.
On Friday afternoon, representatives of LandCorp, the Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley, contractors and neighbours gathered in the new park to enjoy drinks and a sausage sizzle.
The park is looking very good, with local children making plenty of use of play equipment, only taking time off to enjoy some of the fruits of the sausage sizzle.
The latest land release involves 35 lots, including five group house sites, spread over two streets.
Although the method of disposal is yet to be decided, Elders Real Estate will be the sole agent handling the release.
The relevant infrastructure is expected to be completed by February next year.
Planning is underway for the release of a further 200 blocks in the future.
The blocks may be sold by ballot, tender, auction or normal sale, depending on the decision. |
