Puppets explain character

A rapt audience enjoys a puppet show.

Kununurra Homeschooler's Co-op children took part in oral presentations as part of this month's activities.
Children stood up and gave a short talk on something of personal interest.
There were talks on animals, model volcanoes, model planes, book reports, poems, songs, stories, and even an interactive presentation on the workings of a computer.
During the year, children have improved their public speaking and demonstration skills, presenting their thoughts and information more clearly and in a better manner.
Lessons have focused on one character trait per month.
Students considered traits such as enthusiasm, flexibility, boldness and availability.
Mothers found different ways to help the children understand what these character traits looked like by way of puppet shows, poems with actions and stories.
