Motocross celebrates great year

Jackson Furini - he scored the most points throughout the year.

BY PETA JONES

Last Saturday, the Kununurra Moto X Club held its end of year windup and trophy presentation at Ski Beach.
An excellent turnout of members arrived to enjoy the day with friends and family.
The club has had a huge year with plenty of spills and thrills and a few minor injuries.
A trophy presentation was made.
Jonathon Hasted was awarded the biggest stack.
'Best injury' went to Justin Read and the 'drop the bike' award went to Justin Bodey.
Jackson Furini won the overall highest points for the season, taking home a large trophy that will be returned next year to be awarded to next year's highest points winner.
With great delight, Lisa Read took home 1st place in the women's class.
The club is heading to Katherine on November 25 for their last race meet for the season.
The club will start the race season again in March or April next year.
