More burglaries
There have been more burglaries in Kununurra and police are disappointed that the majority have occurred in houses that have been left unlocked.
Despite numerous warnings, people continue to leave their doors and windows unlocked.
Const. 1st Class Shaun Ukich said if people were working in the back garden, they should keep the front door locked and conversely, if they were working out the front, they should keep the back door locked.
At night, they should lock all doors and windows that didn't have security screens.
On a brighter note, police are continuing to solve burglaries.

Kununurra police and volunteers will stage a Christmas Blue Light Disco at the Kununurra Leisure Centre tomorrow night.
Children are being encouraged to dress up with a Christmas theme, with prizes for the best getup.
The primary school session will be from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by the high school session from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Six arrested
Six women were arrested following a disturbance in Weaber Plain Road last week.
A large group of women had been yelling outside a house calling on an occupant to come out and fight.
Snr Sgt Mick Wellstead said the six arrested women were charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drugs.
Perpetrators caught
Two 15-year-old youths and a 16-year-old have been charged with aggravated burglary following an attempted robbery at the Hotel Kununurra.
Police were called at 2am on Monday morning after an occupant of the hotel woke to hear rustling noises in his room.
He managed to get a good description of the youth before the burglar fled empty handed.
After a quick chase, police arrested the 16-year-old in the Country Club grounds.
The two others were arrested on Monday afternoon.
The first youth was also charged with being on premises.
Two deaths
Police believe unrelated deaths at Molly Springs community and the Argyle Homestead were both because of natural causes.
However, the bodies will be autopsied.
Snr Sgt Wellstead said the Molly Springs man was aged 34 and his name will not be released for cultural reasons.
The 67-year-old Argyle Homestead man had apparently died in his sleep several days before his body was discovered on Monday.
He has no known relations in Australia.
Police are continuing enquiries to establish next of kin.
