Danee gets the gong

 

Danee Jenks has taken out the Small Business Centre Achiever Award at the 2007 East Kimberley Small Business Awards.
Melissa and Warwick Boot were centre stage again taking out the BP Ord River Roadhouse Home Based Business Award for their Kununurra Pools and Spas business.
Lisa and Phil Read won the Kimberley Echo Micro Business category for their dramatic improvements to the Kimberley Croc Backpackers.
The Slingair/Heliwork and Triple J Tours 5 to 10 Employees category went to Frauke Bolton-Boshammer's Kimberley Fine Diamonds.
There were no entries in the Wunan Foundation's 10 to 20 Employee category.
A large crowd packed into the Lovell Gallery for the awards night on Friday.
Other finalists in the awards were: Denise and Peter Fox's Boabs in the Kimberley; Nadeen Lovell's Lovell Gallery; Scott, Emma and Kenton Day's Kununurra Backpackers; Sam and David French's Northern IT Services; and RJ and MG Marshall.
The winners will go on to compete in the regional awards to be presented in Kununurra on June 6.
Jurek Leon of Terrific Trading made a presentation titled '13 points in 13 minutes on Black Friday' - tips on improving business and customer relations that took considerably more than 13 minutes, but enthralled his audience.
