Kalumburu blitz continues

East Kimberley police assisted by special child abuse interviewers from Perth have continued their crackdown on Kalumburu's child molesters.
A fourth man has been charged with five counts of sexual penetration of a child under 13 years of age and three counts of indecent dealings with a child under the age of 13 years.
The 41-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear in Broome Magistrates Court on April 30.
He was arrested on Saturday at Kalumburu, where three men and a teenage boy have been charged in the past two weeks days with offences against several girls, the youngest of which was only three years old.
The alleged offences occurred between February and April this year.
The charges against the other men include sexual penetration, deprivation of liberty, encouraging a child to engage in sexual behaviour and showing pornographic material to a child.
A 15-year-old boy was released on bail last Saturday week after appearing in the Kununurra Children's Court accused of assaulting a three-year-old girl in May 2006.
Since the first arrests, three of the alleged victims, two 12-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl, have been taken out of the remote community and placed in the protection of the Department for Community Development.
