It was a new record for Kununurra airport - five jets on the ground at the same time (four of which can bee seen in the above photograph). The jets were carrying the international board of Rio Tinto. Board members visited the Argyle Diamond Mine before overnighting in Kununurra and attending the Dawn Service on ANZAC Hill and a tree planting ceremony in Celebrity Tree Park. They flew out later on ANZAC Day en route to Perth for a board meeting. It is believed the previous record number of jets on the tarmac at the same time was three.
