4WD bash a beauty

This year's East Kimberley Tours Rotary 4WD Adventure Bash provided plenty of boggy ground and a deep water crossing.
65 cars took part (10 more than last year) and raised more than $7000.
Rotary Club members were kept busy pulling vehicles out of bogs and creeks along a course that started at Celebrity Tree Park in Kununurra and went bush from just east of Emu Creek heading north around the Mulligan's Lagoon area and then across to the Ord just below Terara Bar before doing a loop and finishing up at Lakeside Resort.
$1000 cash winners were 'The Beachies', with Colin Vucak in second place.
Other awards were: best dressed car and crew - Zebra Frocks; best mechanical failure - Village People; best dressed team - the Neem Team; dumbest car - Charlie's Angels; best bog - Col and Fiona Kuiper; best costume - Bride and Groom; most bribes - Jacinta Thompson and The Pirates; best bribe - Gareth Gearon; most corrupt - Ben Cousins Supporters; rescue vehicle - Julia Eastagh; most spritual - Nuns on the Run; helping out - Bevan and Bernice Spackman; runner up best costume - Red Devils; most original - Tim O'Neill and the Dunny Crew; and blooper award - Quentin Parker for wrong map directions.
