Long arm of law

The long arm of the law caught up with a 26-year-old man following an incident alleged to have taken place in October 2005 at the King River Camp.

Friends dragged him off and the woman was taken to hospital suffering from bruising.

Use the footpath

A man, who preferred to walk down the middle of the road rather than use the footpath, finally managed to get himself arrested.

Police will allege the 32-year-old from a community near Roebourne was walking down the middle of the road near the backpackers, yelling out about needing a taxi at about midnight last Friday.

Police asked him to move on and use the footpath.

It will be alleged he became more disturbed and began shouting abuse at police until they finally arrested him and charged him with offensive behaviour.

A fight developed and continued for a couple of minutes before the first woman started to walk away.

It will be alleged she saw an empty wine bottle and picked it up and threw it at another 30-year-old woman, hitting her in the mouth and cutting right through her cheek.
