Moon tickets

PEOPLE intending to attend the Airnorth Kimberley Moon Experience should purchase their tickets as soon as possible, as organisers say they are likely to sell out.

This would mean there might not be any tickets available at the gate.

Tickets can be purchased from Kununurra Visitor Centre, Travelworld, Kununurra Newsagency or Kimberley Fine Diamonds.

Tickets to the black tie Kimberley Fine Diamonds Corporate Circle sold out two months ahead of the concert.

More than 2500 concert-goers of all ages are expected to enjoy the concert picnic-style.

Ticket prices are $75 for adults, $25 for children five to 15 years, $160 for families of two adults and three children under 15 years.

The gates open at 3pm to allow families to get a good spot, with Bizcircus performers moving through the crowd.

At 3.50pm Chris Matthews takes the stage, followed by the official opening and the Mirima Dancers.

They will be followed by the Muster Choir and local band Rode Worx. Following the prize draw and announcement of Muster Idol, the Australian Army Band (Darwin) will present its unique brand of entertainment.

High-energy blues outfit Blue Shaddy will be next followed by a Bizcircus performance as the stage is set for Jimmy Barnes and his daughters.

Then it will be on to the fireworks and the final entertainment for the evening Peace, Love and All That Stuff.

The master of ceremonies this year will be country and western singer Adam Harvey.

A current star of Channel 7 hit television show It Takes Two, Adam is also the winner of seven Golden Guitar awards for his popular albums and songs.
